In 2014 I took a month off from the studio and went to the Amazon rainforest in Peru to work on a voluntary conservation project, living and working in the middle of the jungle.It was the most amazing experience the abundance of life within the jungle could not help but inspire my work upon returning back to the UK. The plants and trees where the most stunning colours and shapes. Insects, even the cockroaches had beautiful details in their forms and markings. It was an experience I will never forget and greatly influenced my work upon my return.
